Musical Thoughts

I am currently director of a new band here in San Diego.  The Germania Blaskapelle is what I call a German Oompah Band, But much more really!  We playthe German Schlager music which is what is normally presented at Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany,  What fun,  Our audience loves the music and the musicians enjpoy the performing the fun music as well.  Well, onto this website,  This sowcases my music, new compositions and arrangements.  I hope you enjoy.  If you want to perform any of the pieces with you group please check oiut my music at jwpepper.com and search for Winkelman.  If you want to produce one of my operas , please contact me directly at jwinkelman23@gmail.com

I also have a chamber orchestra piece performed right before the pandemic.  It was a winner in the Minnesota Sinfonia's composition search which I entered.  The name of the piece is "Mr. Toad's Adventurous Ride"  I also use it in my opera Struwwelpeter as an entracte.
